Outdoor Workshops
Outdoor workshops are held once or twice a month in the local area on a Saturday afternoon or Sunday mornings
If you are interested, please contact Kim on 0402473083. Based on interest, we will decide whether to run a morning (9am) or afternoon (1pm) workshop.
Bring a canvas, papers, paints, any drawing media, easel (if you have one), hat and sunscreen. You will learn how to look and see, and then construct thumbnail sketches, quick drawing (bring a camera to take photos for reference) then learn to paint plein-air. Working quickly and freely, paint in base background then work wet in wet to complete (or near complete) a seascape or view of your choice (can be very contemporary or close-up view).
This is a great exercise in learning perspective, realism and light and shade, the values of colour!
Beginners are welcome no skills required. Bring your friends and children over 10 years of age.
The cost per person is $45 which will include wine and cheese platter to share.
Beginners who do not have their own drawing diary pad pencils kits are available for sale
The workshop will run for two to three hours tutored, then free time to paint on site!
Those that have done the workshop before will learn how to sketch with inks and brush on site (yes its time to up skill!) No pencil eraser allowed!
If you are interested please email and book in for time that suits you!
