For many years I
dreamed
about reconnecting with my creative self through painting, drawing and
sculpture. Life just got too busy and other
things were a priority.
In July last year I took up a pencil
and a paintbrush for the first time in 35 years, and I reconnected with
the creative. What a joy it is to become so engaged in the process that
time slips by in a haze of colour and focus.
Now that there is a
space in my life to be creative, to explore and express what I feel,
see and perceive in the world there is no stopping me!
My work reflects a
deep connection with the feminine, with the land and with nature. When
I stop the over thinking, and focus on my art that is where I land -
connected, grounded and in awe of the mystery. I take inspiration from
landscapes, forms, patterns and cycles in nature.
